Project Description

Get your hands a little dirty with Earth Sangha! Help Earth Sangha plant hundreds of native species at Marie Butler Leven Preserve. We have worked all year to remove invasive plants from the forest edge of this restoration site and now need your help replanting it with the native plants. Native plants provide the habitat and food that our local animals need to survive. More native plants leave room for more native animals such as birds, butterflies, moths, bees, mammals, etc. You will be planting native wildflowers, grasses, sedges, and ferns!

Having a healthy woodland edge is important because it is the last defense for local forest. The forests edges are the most productive places in the forests; they are where botanical reproduction occurs. Be a part of making your local forests stronger!
