Project Description

Have you ever wondered what happens to the fruit that falls off the tree before it is ready to be picked? Come to Hollin's Farm and you will find out! There is a whole process called gleaning, it is the act of recovering excess or unwanted produce from local farms. Your project will be to recover the apples that have been knocked to the ground at Hollin's "Pick-Your-Own Orchard".  After the apples are recovered, you will load them into bins and drive them to the Food for Others warehouse!

Cancellation can occur due to bad weather, lack of excess crops, or other conditions; it is in nature's hands! PLEASE check your email on the morning of your scheduled glean. If it does not mention cancellation, the harvest will go on as scheduled.
