Project Description

Metro day is a great opportunity to teach some of Ayuda's clients a valuable skill (learning how to use the DC metro) and enjoy a fun outing with them. Spanish is required, and it is a 4-hour commitment, the event goes from 10am-2pm. It involves taking VA Social Services clients on the metro from our Virginia office to the National Mall and back to teach them how to use the system. Lunch is provided. Volunteers must speak Spanish or identify if they speak other languages. Volunteers must have a well-enough knowledge of the metro system to be able to teach our clients all of the basic uses and functions.
