50 Community Ambassador
Project Description
The 50 Community Ambassadors are educated to be knowledgeable about resources and programs for older adults. They learn and share with people in their existing social circles, either one-on-one (such as with friends, family, or neighbors) or in small group settings (faith communities, home-owner associations, neighborhood networks, clubs, etc.) Community Ambassadors gather quarterly to learn and network once each quarter on a weekday from 11:30am - 2:30pm. Volunteers must attend 3 of the 4 quarterly meetings. Join this group to help support older adults in your communities. Most events occur Monday through Friday during business hours. Multicultural community ambassadors are a key part of this important initiative and help further support their diverse communities. Applicants must be 18 years of age or older. Hours of Operation: Flexible schedule.
